Substance Use Services
Substance Use Services, located on Park Center’s Carew Street campus, provides recovery and client-focused care to individuals who abuse or are addicted to alcohol, prescription drugs, or other drugs. Also served are those who may have co-existing psychiatric conditions. As an intern in Substance Use Services, you will participate in a wide range of activities including facilitating substance use groups, individual therapy, assessments, and more. All activities are conducted under the guidance of a seasoned clinical supervisor.
Qualified applicants will be graduate students in mental health counseling, social work, marriage and family counseling, or a related degree. Students are expected to have a basic knowledge of DSM-5 and knowledge of her/his ethical and professional guidelines. A general knowledge of addictions is preferred but not required.
